Frozen Pomegranate supply for commercial buyers

We supply loose frozen pomegranate arils for fruit preparations, blends and foodservice. White membrane, crushed sacs and free juice directly affect visible appearance and usable yield, making packed-lot inspection essential.

We agree the whole-aril, membrane and crushing limits against your application. A more broken process grade must be separately identified; it is not interchangeable with a grade selected for intact visible arils.

Product forms

Separated frozen pomegranate arils

The photograph shows separated arils. Whole fruit, juice and puree are different products.

Processing grade with more broken arils

The photographed form is separated arils; crushed arils need a distinct process-grade limit. A process grade needs its own crushed-aril and free-juice allowance; it is not a new cut of the same aril.

Purchasing risks and acceptance checks

Appearance and identity: red shade and aril maturity.

We set a lot reference for the visible color and selected form of pomegranate.

The buyer receives a red-aril appearance reference rather than a whole-fruit claim.

Foreign parts and defects: white membrane, peel, crushed arils and free juice.

We sample for white membrane, peel, crushed arils and free juice and agree which findings are defects versus allowed natural variation.

White membrane pieces and crushed sacs can be counted separately.

Functional performance: membrane fragments and broken arils.

We trial the buyer's filling or preparation step, counting intact arils and free juice afterward.

A handled-pack trial shows whether intact arils still meter or decorate as intended.

Product specifications

We match the form, grade and acceptance method to the agreed sample and your application.

ItemRequirement
Product identityFrozen Pomegranate; exact fruit variety or source lot to be confirmed where it affects red juicy arils rather than whole pomegranate or puree.
Primary formSeparated frozen arils; intact percentage, crushed-fruit allowance, membrane residue and free juice need a lot standard.
AppearanceAgree a reference for red shade and aril maturity; define acceptable natural variation and reject defects separately.
Size and gradeSet intact-aril share, white membrane, crushed sacs and free-liquid allowance on a packed lot.
Critical defectsAgree inspection limits for white membrane, peel, crushed arils and free juice, including how a buyer will sample a received carton.

Preparation and frozen processing

  1. Pomegranate lot selection. We begin with the selected fruit lot and record the identity relevant to red juicy arils rather than whole pomegranate or puree.
  2. Preparation and removal. Opening, aril separation and membrane removal define the yield and finished visual grade.
  3. Form and size control. We measure aril integrity and free-liquid level on a representative bag sample; another cut is not an applicable form decision.
  4. Packed pomegranate release. We inspect for white membrane, peel, crushed arils and free juice, check net weight and seal integrity, and match carton identification to the lot record.

Quality control

Our lot review focuses on white membrane, peel, crushed arils and free juice.

We look for white membrane, pale tissue and nonfruit matter among the arils, then inspect the bottom of the liner for juice and crushed sacs. The acceptable intact share depends on whether the buyer needs visible arils or will process them further.

Packing and private label

For bulk ingredients we confirm the liner and carton around separated frozen pomegranate arils. The pack must protect the fruit from the pressure and moisture issues associated with membrane fragments and broken arils.

Arils are easily pressed into juice in an overfilled bag. We review liner thickness, fill and sealing after handling; a private-label image must depict arils, not intact pomegranate wedges.

Documents and traceability

The pomegranate batch record links aril integrity and membrane checks to the packed lot and requested analysis.

Invoice and packing list describe separated arils; neither whole fruit nor puree is implied by the source photo.

Frozen storage and delivery

Arils can crush and leak under pressure. We test liner strength, fill level and carton support before frozen loading.

We avoid heavy top loads that could turn intact arils into free juice. The packed aril lot remains traceable through the reefer shipment.

Frequently asked questions

Are these pomegranate segments or arils?

They are separated arils in the photographed lot. Whole fruit, juice and puree are different products.

How is aril integrity measured?

We agree a representative sample and a limit for crushed or leaking arils.

What white material is unacceptable?

White membrane and peel fragments need a written sorting tolerance.

Does the pack contain free juice?

The acceptable free-liquid amount is set by the application and checked in the packed sample.

Can arils be mixed with firmer fruit?

A blend trial should check pressure damage and aril distribution before formula approval.

Are the frozen arils ready to eat after thawing?

No such claim is made from a photograph. Handling, treatment and intended use must be confirmed for the actual SKU.

What does white membrane look like in an aril pack?

Pale fibrous pieces should be counted apart from sound translucent arils. The buyer's grade sets the allowable limit.

Why inspect the bottom of the carton?

Free juice and crushed sacs can collect there while the top appears intact. We sample the full pack.

Can a bag be labelled as pomegranate puree?

No. This product is separated arils; puree requires a distinct process and specification.

Does a higher broken-aril allowance affect price?

It changes the grade and usable yield for some applications. We quote the agreed intact share and pack.

How is an aril lot traced?

The membrane and broken-aril inspection should connect to batch identity, packing and requested reports.

Will arils remain distinct through portioning?

We test the actual dispenser or filling step and compare intact arils and free juice before and after handling.
