Our factory employs cutting-edge IQF (Individual Quick Freezing) technology during our production process to individually freeze each kernel of corn without caking or sticking together, thus maintaining perfect shape and taste without caking or sticking together. Furthermore, each link of production boasts its own quality control system to guarantee international standards are met in each batch produced; our facilities have earned HACCP and BRC global food safety standard certification to further ensure product safety and sanitary conditions in production facilities.

Sampling: To perform the sweetness test, select random samples from your corn batch (preferably fresh or frozen kernels ).

Juicing: Juice corn kernels to obtain corn juice. This juice will then be used as part of measuring sweetness levels.

Filtration: Solid residue in corn juice must be extracted using a filter in order to achieve an uncontaminated liquid sample for measurement purposes.

Measure Brix Value of Corn Juice: Brix values in corn juice can be measured using a refractometer, which measures its refractive index; higher refractive index means increased sugar content in liquid. Brix values are usually expressed as percentages representing how many grams of sugar per 100 grams of liquid that make up its contents.

Analysis Results: Corn sweetness can be determined based on its Brix value; typically this ranges between 10%-20% in sweet corn varieties; generally speaking, higher numbers mean sweeter corn!

 

 

 

The sweetness test is as follows:

Sampling: First, randomly select some samples from the batch of corn to be tested, usually fresh or thawed corn kernels.

Juicing: Juice the corn kernels to extract corn juice. The corn juice will be used for sweetness measurement.

Filtering: The solid residue in the corn juice is removed through a filter to ensure that the liquid sample is pure for measurement.

Measure Brix value: The Brix value of corn juice is measured using a refractometer. A refractometer can measure the refractive index of a liquid. The higher the refractive index, the higher the sugar content in the liquid. The Brix value is usually expressed as a percentage, representing the number of grams of sugar per 100 grams of liquid.

Analysis results: The sweetness of the corn is determined based on the measured Brix value. Generally speaking, the Brix value of sweet corn is between 10% and 20%. The higher the value, the sweeter the corn.

1. Sampling
To ensure representativeness in measurement results, randomly sample 100-200 corn kernels from your production line or finished product batch for sampling purposes. This should ensure accurate results from measurement.

2. Measuring with a Vernier Caliper A high-precision vernier caliper should be used to determine both diameter and length measurements of corn kernels:

Diameter Measurement: Position the corn kernel within the measuring port of a vernier caliper, close gently and read off its maximum diameter measurement.

Measure Corn Kernels for Length Using Vernier Calipers To measure length accurately, place corn kernels with their long axis within the measuring port of a vernier caliper, close gently and read off their maximum length value.

3. Measurement Standards
Uniformity: For optimal heating during cooking, frozen corn kernel sizes should generally be uniform to ensure an even distribution. Large variances could compromise final product quality.

4. Collecting and Analyzing
Collect the measurement results for each corn kernel and calculate their average size within their batch, along with any standard deviation calculations which provide insight into particle consistency and size variability.
